One of my favorite humor websites has been updated: Computer Stupidities!

This brings a different meaning to be all that you can be...

And you know, that's about all the entertainment that I can find today, so have a good weekend everybody!

The missing link?  I find it funny that this monkey's human like behavior is being attributed to brain damage.

Got MILF?

Just kinda wrong.  Amish in the City.

More people that don't like Michael Moore.  I'm just kinda amused by this one.

Ever get that feeling that you need a vacation from your vacation?  Just got back in to work today, and this is almost a relief.  We've spent the last week cleaning, organizing and working on the deck, and being at work is almost a nice break from it all.  8-)  We did make sure to get in some fun stuff every day, and so we saw a bunch of movies (I, Robot and Spiderman 2 kick ass!), and I got some more poker in.

Poker is going really well.  I'm currently 39th out of 247 people that have earned points in this series.  So far the cutoff for the final invitational tournament is at the 61st position, so if I score a few more points, I should be able to guarantee a spot.  Right now it's very likely, but there's a chance that I could slip if I don't score more.  Still for a free series, I've done well by it.  I've won 2 tshirts and a hat for in tournament play, and with winning a $5 buy in pre tournament warm up side game, I've brought my side game earnings up to $90.  So I'm pretty happy with that.

This week is hopefully looking to be a bit slower.  I have OEC class to run on Wednesday as usual.  We are hopefully getting together with our friends Dale and Cathy for dinner at some point this week, since their kitchen burned down due to a shorted coffe maker.  We had been meaning to get them over to our house, but not under circumstances like that!

And a final thanks to Jim of the Milwaukee Ale House.  He loaned my little brother their beer truck so that they could bring some furniture up to me this last weekend, and even threw in a case of beer and a case of rootbeer for us!  Help me say thanks and stop by and get a pint at their bar, it's some pretty good stuff!

Woohoo! It's almost weekend, and what makes that even better is that Julie and I are taking the next week off of work! We'll be doing some camping with the inlaws...not quite sure what to make of that, especially with the thunderstorms in the forecast for this weekend, and a lot of work around the house. Really, we're going to get that deck done soon! And best of all, we'll finally get to catch up on some sleep! Wow, what a concept...lol.

Last night was another poker night, but this one turned out a bit different for me. I busted out of the free tournament about halfway in, and found that they had started a side game right as I went out, so I was able to buy into that one in the last spot for $10 and keep playing right away. I went down to about half of my stack pretty quick, and then I just started catching the hands. It wasn't too long before there were only three of us left, and one guy went all in on me with suited connectors...I think it was 8-9. I had A-J and called, and when neither of us pulled anything, my Ace kicker took him out. Well, the third place guy was having so much fun he decided to deal for me and the other guy that were left. It probably took us 50-60 or more hands to finish it out. We were both playing the chips really well, and it took a while to pull an edge on him. He finally put it preflop, and sitting on Q-K off suit, I felt I had to call. He had the feel of a small pair about it, and when he flipped over his 5-5 I saw that I was right. That put it at about a 50-50 shot for either of us. I forgot the first card of the flop, but the other two were 10-J, which put me at an open ended straight draw. Fourth street sealed it when the 9 came up, and just for amusement, the river was an ace, giving me a 6 card straight, and the win for $70. All in all, a very fun night.

And now for some random amusement.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the upcoming movie versions of The Chronicles of Narnia (holy childhood flashback!), and found this news amusing. For all the press that New Zealand is getting for being THE spot to make movies, you think they'd be more accommodating.

I seem to say this a lot, but this is just disturbing and wrong. Make sure to watch the movie!

And to end it on a upbeat note, Ashley Judd was locked out of her cabin while naked!

It's another pseudo-monday, and life at work is about the same as usual. Two broken computers and continuing work on a not fully functional printer to start the day.

We've started sanding down our deck to prep it for restaining. It was painted before, and really peeling a lot. We found some awesome stain to use, Rymar. It's about $50 a gallon, and by all reports is well worth it. It even has citronella in it to make your deck area naturally bug resistant. Now all we have to do is finish sanding. Ugh. We spent about three hours working on it on Monday, and maybe got 1/4 to 1/3 of it done. We rented sanders from Home Depot, and while they worked ok, I think I'll be buying some to finish the job with. They were the cheapest rentals in town, and it still was $50 for four hours. What a shame, we'll have to buy more power tools... 8-)

The New York Post hasn't been doing well in it's news flashes. First it had the Yankees losing a playoff game last year that they won, and now this. Although they have now fixed it on their website.

I've always said reality TV is trying too hard, and I think this is the final proof.

They're making it pretty hard to get out of jury duty if this guy has a chance to be on one.

I'd think judges would be high on the list of people not to steal from.
